Home / About
Tucker Motorsports is a factory certified and trained shop specializing in import and high-performance vehicle service, performance, maintenance, and repairs — Ocala, Florida.

A perfectionist with factory training and decades of hands-on experience across Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and the wider European stable. Will built Tucker Motorsports on one idea: dealer-level work, personal attention, honest pricing. He still runs a bench — if your car has a fault nobody else could pin down, it ends up in front of him.
Ryan is who you will most likely speak to first. He runs the schedule, sources parts, turns the technician's findings into an estimate you can actually read, and keeps you updated while your car is here — so nobody is left wondering what is happening on day three.
The short version: you get a master technician instead of a service writer, and you stop paying for a showroom you never sit in.
Most people who end up at Tucker Motorsports arrive the same way. They bought a Porsche, a BMW, a Mercedes-AMG, an Audi or a MINI because of how it drives, then discovered that keeping it right costs more than the payment some months. They spent an afternoon in a dealership waiting room, got handed an estimate that read like a wish list, and left wondering how much of it the car actually needed. That is the moment somebody Googles "European mechanic near me" and finds us.
Nothing about a dealership is designed around a car that is five, ten or twenty years old. The service department is a profit center attached to a sales floor, and it is staffed accordingly: a service writer takes your description, an advisor prices a menu, and the car goes to whichever technician is free — often the newest one, because the experienced people are booked on warranty work that the manufacturer pays for. Diagnosis gets replaced with part swapping, because swapping parts is faster to bill and easier to explain. You end up paying for a new sensor, then a new module, then a new harness, chasing a fault that a wiring diagram would have found in an hour.
There is also a structural problem: dealer technicians are trained on the current model line. A shop that sells 2026 cars has very little institutional memory of a 2004 996 or an E39 M5. We work on those cars every week. When a Porsche comes in with an intermittent misfire, we are not meeting that engine for the first time.
Certification gets thrown around loosely in this industry, so here is what it means at our shop. Will Tucker is a certified master technician with factory training across the European marques, a member of the Porsche Club of America and CRTechs, and the only certified LN Engineering IMS retrofit installer in North Central Florida. That last one matters if you own an early water-cooled Porsche — the intermediate shaft bearing is the difference between a car you keep and a car you scrap, and it is not a job to hand to somebody learning on yours.
The equipment follows the training. We run manufacturer-level diagnostic platforms rather than a generic code reader: PIWIS for Porsche, ISTA for BMW and MINI, XENTRY for Mercedes-Benz, and ODIS for Audi and Volkswagen. That is the difference between reading a fault code and actually doing guided fault finding, module coding, adaptations, service-counter resets and battery registration — the things a modern European car requires before it will behave properly after a repair. A shop without those tools can change your battery. It cannot tell the car that the battery changed, and the car will punish you for it.
Genuine or OE-quality parts and manufacturer-approved fluids are the default on every job, and we will not quietly substitute something cheaper to win a quote. There is one honest exception, and we will always tell you when it applies: some factory parts are known weak points. Plastic cooling components, certain original bearings, a handful of well-documented failure items. When a better-engineered aftermarket or upgraded part genuinely outlasts the original, we will explain why, price both, and let you decide. That is a conversation, not a substitution.
THE FOUNDATION
Years inside the European marques — factory certification, master technician credentials, and the discipline of dealership-grade process without the dealership attitude.
THE LAUNCH
The exclusive independent service center for Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and MINI Cooper — genuine parts, book-stamped maintenance, warranty-safe.
THE REPUTATION
Every Google review: five stars. Owners stopped going back to the dealer — and told their friends.
MAY 2025
Representing the shop at Central Florida's premier gathering of exotic and performance machinery at the World Equestrian Center.
2026
We bought out another euro repair shop, moved to a much larger space at 960 NE 16th St, and expanded to Audi and Volkswagen. More lifts, more bays — same standards.
No mystery, no surprise invoice. Every job runs the same five steps.
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
Send the year, model and what the car is doing through the quote form — and the VIN if you have it. European specifications change constantly, sometimes mid-model-year, and the VIN tells us the exact build so we price the right parts the first time instead of guessing from the badge.
THE PART MOST SHOPS SKIP
The car goes on a factory-level scan tool across every module, then gets tested properly — live data, wiring diagrams, pressure and leak-down testing where the fault calls for it. We find out what is wrong before anything gets ordered. Guessing is expensive and you are the one who pays for it.
BEFORE WE TOUCH ANYTHING
You get the findings and a written estimate split into what the car needs now, what can safely wait, and what is simply worth knowing about. Nothing gets authorized by us on your behalf. If the honest answer is that a repair costs more than the car is worth, we will say so.
START TO FINISH
Genuine or OE parts, manufacturer-approved fluids, torque specifications followed, adaptations and coding completed, and the service record documented — date, mileage, parts, fluid specification. The technician who diagnosed your car is the one who repairs it and the one who signs off on it.
AND AFTERWARDS
Nothing leaves on a code clear alone. The car is road tested and rescanned, and qualifying repairs carry 12 months or 12,000 miles on parts and labor. If something we touched is not right, you bring it back to the person who did it.
The shop sits at 960 NE 16th St, Ocala, Florida 34470, a few minutes from downtown and an easy run from I-75 and the 441 corridor. In 2026 we merged with European Car Clinic and moved into this larger building — more lifts, more bays, and room to take on Audi and Volkswagen alongside Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and MINI. The standards did not change with the address.
Most of our customers come from Ocala itself, but a good number drive in from Gainesville, The Villages, Belleview, Dunnellon, Silver Springs, Summerfield, Anthony, Citra, Williston, Inverness, Lady Lake and Leesburg — usually because the nearest dealership for their marque is an hour or more away in Orlando, Tampa or Jacksonville, and because a genuine specialist is worth the drive. If you are coming any distance, tell us when you book and we will try to schedule the work so the car is not sitting overnight for no reason.
We are also part of the local car scene rather than just a business address in it — Porsche Club of America events, the Ocala Festival of Speed at the World Equestrian Center, and the informal network of owners around Marion County who tend to know exactly who worked on whose car. In a town this size, reputation is the only marketing that survives. Every Google review we have is five stars, and we would like to keep it that way.
Shop hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Eastern. Call (352) 629-5047, send a request through the online quote form, or just come by — if a lift is free and the question is quick, we would rather look at the car than guess over the phone.
Bring it in and get huge savings compared to the dealership's service department.

Will replaced the rear wheel bearings on my 2012 991.1 S. He did great work, very knowledgeable, and upfront. I will be going back to him to service the PDCC reservoir and I'm sure more future work on my car. Great guy, great shop, highly recommended.
Will did quit a bit of work on my 2010 Cayman. Fixing a problem caused by another shop. Bringing everything up to par, new pads, rotors, even painting calipers. I'm glad he is Ocala. I will not let anyone else work on my now 2014 981S. Will is a perfectionist and a Certified Master Porsche mechanic.
Nice clean shop and his years of experience show! He found a few things that I didn't even know where a problem. I will definitely use Will for my oil changes and required services when they are due.
Always a great experience, very helpful and knowledgeable. If you want the job done right come here!
Mr Tucker is a class act! Extremely knowledgeable, thorough, professional and up front honest. Thank you for the terrific diagnosis and repair of my electrical issue!
I called William a few months ago to discuss getting some work done on my car. After a few conversations, I decided to have William do the work instead of the dealer. His work was great, the shop was clean and the price was extremely reasonable. I will absolutely be taking my car here instead of the dealer going forward.
Quality work in a timely manner. Had a great experience and would highly recommend for all automotive needs!
Quality work and his experience speaks for itself! Will has been taking care of our vehicles for years, saves us a lot of money with our Porsche Cayenne S by NOT having to go to the dealer. Highly recommended for anyone that has a Mercedes/BMW/Porsche… from vintage to new he’s your hard to find trusted shop.
